VANCOUVER — C-TRAN is officially dancing to the phase that is second their intend to bring The Vine to Mill Plain.
At its meeting that is monthly Board of Directors unanimously authorized the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) for the Mill Plain path. The western end associated with the line has generated some debate, with Vancouver City Councilor and C-TRAN board user Ty Stober saying he could have chosen an even more alignment that is northern.
At Tuesday’s conference, Sarah Hitchcock took time during resident responses to state she might have chosen a path along fifteenth to Washington.
“At 12th and Washington you will find four low-income apartment buildings,” she pointed away, “two of which give seniors.”
The committee that suggested the LPA determined the Evergreen positioning met a lot more of the requirements that they had set, and left space for the 3rd coach Rapid Transit line along Highway 99 in the foreseeable future.
Another concern grew up by James Combs, who was simply Fred Meyer that is representing Stores.
“We fear eliminating westbound left change motions towards the shop from Mill Plain, by having a center area station, may have a substantial negative affect the Fred Meyer shop company,” Combs told the board. “The shop was here four years much longer compared to the Glen Jackson … connection. It exposed in 1978.”
