The makers of a porn film titled Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaptation in November, Universal Studios sued Smash Pictures. Universal is alleging copyright and trademark infringement and seeking to obtain an injunction that stops the porn form of EL James‘ blockbuster novel from being distributed.
