City Slicker Getaway to Oregon’s High Desert
Time to scrape those camping that is ambitious. Scrambling to set up a “Plan B”, we hopped on the net and started selecting sleep and breakfasts in Central Oregon, perhaps not letting the impending p r weather stifle my wanderlust and desire to see available skies.
I landed on the Long Hollow Ranch webpage, and everything seemed great, therefore I made and called the reservation. Boy am I pleased I did! Only a few hours’ drive from Portland, Long Hollow Ranch is all about 13 kilometers northeast of this town of Sisters. Since Brad and I also weren’t on the go, we decided to make part trips to see some places on the way that we’ve always breezed past previously, frequently because we’ve constantly held it’s place in a hurry to access a different destination.
Our stop that is first was the Museum at Warm Springs regarding the Warm Springs Reservation. The museum has an insight that is in-depth the vibrant culture and traditions associated with the Confederated Tribes regarding the Warm Springs Indians who possess resided in this section of Oregon for 1000s of years.
